Marzan 5/4 BBb 4 piston valve tuba $3600
Here’s a great playing instrument. It was made in the B&M(Nirschl) Shop in Geretsried, Germany in the 1970s. It is in very good playing condition and produces a rich contrabass sound with lots of presence. Valve compression is excellent. It has a unique whole horn main tuning slide for pitch adjustment while playing. Honestly the intonation is secure enough that very little slide movement is necessary. It is a lot of fun to play. Bore is 19mm/0.750inches, bell diameter is 19”. Takes Standard USA mouthpiece shank.
