TINDALL TUBA SEMINAR 2027
July 4–10 | Hosted at the Eastern Festival of Music

I’m thrilled to announce that the official application page is LIVE for the 2027 Tindall Tuba Seminar at the Eastern Festival of Music.

Seven days of intensive, immersive, high-level tuba study designed for serious musicians looking to take their playing to the next level.

Only 10 performers will be selected and 15+ auditor positions will be available. The seminar is open to professional musicians, college and graduate students, and exceptional high school applicants, ages 16+.

During that week we will focus on:

*Daily fundamentals, individual.instruction, masterclasses, and audition preparation. These are the same concepts, strategies, and standards I use with my students preparing for professional careers and winning orchestral auditions.

*Detailed analysis, preparation, and execution of the 20-25 of the most important orchestral audition excerpts.

*Vaughan Williams & John Williams Concertos - a comprehensive study of these cornerstone works.

*Developing the technical and musical demands of advanced solo repertoire such as the Penderecki & Kraft

Given the success of Mr. Tindall’s students at winning auditions, I have no doubt that the participants will get a lot out of it.

I was thinking that the 3 of them should be able to handle more than 10 students. Anyway...

No mention of the cost of this Seminar is eyebrow raising. It surely cannot be gratis, right? If not, seems like the poster should have the weekly fee before one takes the time to send an application. Maybe Aaron or someone else on TubaForum has the info.

Price will follow, I'm sure.

Don't want to scare people off in the middle of an affordability crisis.

Do any of the summer festivals and workshops post their cost in recruitment ads? And somehow there's people that manage to fill the seats

A location would be nice, too (on the poster)
