Hello all, Recently I have acquired a meinl Weston f tuba and I LOVE it. My issue is the mouthpiece I currently use a silver pt-64 On it and I love how it plays but my face has a reaction to the silver so I am hoping to buy a mouthpiece comparable or the same but in gold or stainless steel. Open to trades as well I have a few mouthpieces I’d be willing to trade for it.

If you like the 64, you could look into having a local jewelry shop gold plate it. It will likely be cheaper than buying a new gold or stainless mouthpiece. 15 years ago in Kentucky (at Batmark Jewelry in Lexington) it cost me about $50 to have that done, so now it’ll probably be $100 or so, just guessing.

Looking out for used giddings mouthpieces. Incredible stainless steel selection. If you have a rotary f look into the Bora or Kronos, or if you have a piston then I’d look into the Baer MMVI or Baer Original.

I have an old Herco that is plated with rhodium. That was standard for these mouthpieces. Send me a PM for more info.
