Hey All!
Has anybody tried the Sherman Tuba, especially their F tubas? Opinions?
Cheers!

Re: Sierman Tubas
Which one? They make a bunch.
I’ve only played the “Mars”
It was pretty good. The genuine MRP is better.

I tried three Sierman CC tubas this spring, really liked the Galaxy. Build quality seemed fine at a glance, but I didn't pull things apart to look closely. Since then I've also tried the B&S 3198 which it copies, and really liked it too. But the trials were too far apart to make a nuanced comparison.

Re: Sierman Tubas
I have played through the Mars and the Arthur only at this time, I do have another couple coming in soon for trials. I was quite impressed by both of these models. The Arthur has a really open low register for a rotary f tuba, build quality is great on both of them, there's decent amount of room on bearings for swadging and such (that's a big problem on some other brands of rotary tubas from Asia). The Mars was a really nice combination of a piston F tuba without the CC tuba sound that some may not like. I haven't seen much better F tubas at that price point. If you have more questions, please let me know.
