WTB - king rotary tuba or conn front action BBb

Post by EmptyCase »

title sums it up. Willing to pay cash and pickup, no need for shipping. Ideally this would happen relatively soon or over a charismas break. I'm graduating college soon and want to treat myself to something nice, I've always wanted one off these since I played a 1291 two years ago. I would also be interesting in horns like a Conn 36J or similar Big front action Bb. I've done repair since 2018 and have worked in a professional shop working primarily on tubas for almost 3 years now, whatever i buy doesn't have to be in tip top shape but at least intact. any finish. I had an old 1-piece 1240 that I liked very much, but it didn't get much use after I got my Martin, so I passed it on to a new owner. They are great horns.

Me too! I normally prefer pistons, but those King string linkages are so smooth and the horns just sound top notch. I've been after one for awhile myself. Just Missed out on a 3-valve example for sale at a steal of a price listed on the other forum and I'm still kinking myself over it.

Best of luck in your search!
