My tuba instructor at the Army school of music had one of these im pretty sure, they are really great f tubas. Very close to a symphonie in sound and playing characteristics.

It could potentially be a 2 whole tone 5th valve, but I have seen this set up before on this era when someone got a replacement.

Ok, it just looked drastically different from the standard 5th valve setup.

Yeah, it looks like the standard 5th-valve slide would fit there fine.
I wonder what the bore is for the 1st and 5th valves--was this a PT-10 where those valves were enlarged from the Symphonie dimensions?

I think any GDR-era horn with the "Perantucci" moniker has the larger bore. Some of them had interchangeable leadpipes, though.

I had one of these when I was in college. Awesome horn and it had the interchangeable slides for the sharp minor third as seen in the picture, or the flat whole step for the fifth valve.

I bought an early 90s PT-10 right after college, it was a good horn.
