I don't know this guy, but I already like him a lot.

Re: Check out these bass lines
Damn you, now I'm gonna spend all night listening to this.
Seriously, this guy looks like he has 20 pairs of pajamas to wear while his mom grooves to the funky souzy beat all night long. It's all super sexy until you realize that you have to play each lick about 40 times per tune.
I log into f-book once a month, and I fear I've broken my bandwidth for this month just listening to the Thriller and Everybody Needs Somebody bass lines over and over again. Sam Palafian reincarnated trading mary jane for chicken tendies and hot pockets.

Yeah I like it - and he's a good player, but it's hard enough to repeat all that mess over and over and over when playing those funk tunes on bass guitar (trust me).

... If you can play them as cleanly as he does, you'll get clicks.gocsick wrote: Fri May 08, 2026 9:43 pm I guess I need to start recording my funky sousa lines and win fame and fortune!
I promise you that he didn't sound that good playing them the first time through. It took some work.

I'll bet there's a little digital shenanigans, though. Nobody rips through stuff like that without bending some pitches here and there. He just sounds too awesome for it to be 100% real and unadulterated.bloke wrote: Fri May 08, 2026 10:26 pm...
