... Some don't agree which is why there's a threaded version of this silver plated brass model, so it can accommodate all of the different varieties of Sellmansberger and Houser stainless steel rims.
Personally, I use one with a threaded rim (the same rim profile and width as with the stock one-piece model), because I like the fact that stainless steel is very scratch resistant and stays feeling very smooth for about as long as a player continues to play on that rim. Yeah, I also use one that has the gold titanium coating, because bling is cool too.
The pictured one features a wide/rounded Miraphone style stainless steel rim.
Because the customer is also going to have to purchase a rim, we knock the price down on the threaded versions to only $150, even though they cost us the same or more to produce as the complete mouthpiece versions.

stains from refitting oversized pistons to a tuba, yesterday.
Those stains are going to have to wear off over a couple of days. They don't wash off.
