Thanks Wade and Merry Christmas to you and yours. Sounds amazing as always and will no doubt prove a challenge to play. It’s a bit of a running joke in our band as to how early we can bring out Christmas music, so if I take this along to our first rehearsal in the new year it will give extra delight. Thanks again.

And trying to come up with a conceit for removing a beat (ala PDQ's dance music) but feel none of the creative explanations work because of well, snow. So i lamely settle upon "icy conditions" (best i can do is the first snowfall before roads get salted, or horses remember how to canter(cantor?) in the snow).
Sorry for trying to be too clever.
Oh yeah, and thanks a bunch for the fool music!

Great arrangement—very good for training or testing a quintet’s internal subdivision and ensemble skills while being enjoyable and not overly difficult in terms of technique.
