Being a bass player I have a limited knowledge of Tubas. I need some guidance on identifying model, year and value on an inherited Holton, front valve, with a recording bell ( no model number that I can see) 399xxx

And a Martin Mammoth (I believe-24” bell) with 199xxx serial number (1930’s?)

Any help would be appreciated.

That's two of us with Martin Mammoths. Pristine ones have sold for $2.5 k to $3k, but I'm only asking half of that for mine, still with no takers because the bottom bow is a bit smashed, although it doesn't leak and plays fine. That kind of thing doesn't stop me but others want a more pretty instrument.

Pics and location would help a lot.
