Sousaphone Bells

Post by BaltimoreBrassCo »

Hello! We are looking for two sousaphone bells that will fit a Conn 20K. They don't have to be conn branded or a certain finish/material. Condition also doesn't matter a whole lot as long as they are not destroyed. We have a King 1291 Bell on our website that we might could work out a trade with if someone is interested in that over selling outright.

Thanks!

There's a coating of nickel plating underneath the silver on the silver plated versions (which isn't wonderful), but those Weril made Dynasty Brazil sousaphone bells are just about the right size, and could really be made into proper fitting ones if retrofitted with a Conn male collar.
The valve sections' pistons tended to wear out on those, and the bracing wasn't very good, so you might find a bell for one of those somewhere.

@BaltimoreBrassCo

It’s in Los Angeles but perhaps they’ll ship it, it’s just the bell.

Some old Yorks, Martins, and perhaps a King rotary valved CC
