Sanders 4v CC -> https://www.ebay.com/itm/167457201425

Surprised noone has posted this -- it's been up for months on ebay. Looks pristine/mint, and includes a nice hard case. There are no specs given, but it is 4-rotor and in CC.

That's a 4/4 tuba at best. It's an cerveny /amati 68, the tuba that the miraphone 186 was modeled after

Good tubas, but as a 4 valve CC, the price is a little optimistic. I paid $850 for one about 6 years ago.

I think the photos are somewhat distorted, making the tuba look chunkier than it is. I agree with Mark, 186-sized.

Weird -- the photos do make it look chunkier. I was thinking it was Miraphone 188 sized at least, but maybe not. I'd still like to see specs/measurements on it.

Either way, it looks very nice❕️

I’ve played it. It’s just up the road. It’s most definitely in the 5/4+ weight class. Close to a 20”-ish bell and .835 bore. It plays very well, and did I not have a dream BBb coming my way soon, it would be mine. 😉.

Thanks for the clarification on that! @catgrowlB was right.

At second glance the valve caps were still round, so I was second guessing my thoughts about photo distortion.

I’ve never seen a Sanders or Cerveny CC remotely close to that style.

(And, you’re welcome! :cheers:)

So I WAS right :tuba: I thought it looked 5/4 ish in size, but you can't always tell from pictures. And no specs given. Looks nice, and it's in mint condition :hearteyes:

The very first CC tuba I ever owned was one of these. Mine was badged as Cerveny though. I bought it around 1991 from the Tuba Exchange. Definitely a 5/4 sized instrument. The intonation on mine was very point and shoot with fairly standard first valve slide pulls and 2-4 combinations needing a 4th slide pull. Pretty solid horn.
