When I can't sleep.. instead of counting sheep.. I recite my modal scales around the circle of 5ths in my head. I start at Lydian and add flats. I never get past Dorian before I fade out. It's a good thing I never get far enough to worry about double flats or I probably would wake myself up again having to think about it.
As amateur as they come...I know just enough to be dangerous.

In the Netherlands we have a TV show called "Rail Away". It just shows trains going through nice landscapes while the commentator calmy explains the train and the area
I found that I was sorely deficient in both B12 and B1, and my "restless legs syndrome" has flat out disappeared with proper supplementation of both. Doctors just want to give you drugs, as if RLS were a deficiency of pharmaceutical drugs.
