Just curious if anyone knows of any Miraphone 496s available for sale? I see one at Dillon, but anything on the used market? I’d like a 5-valve if I can find one but open to a 4-valve variant.
I had a GR51, which I really liked, but wanted something a bit bigger and have read a lot of good things about the 496 variant.

They come up occasionally. If you're interested I'll have an Alex 163 BBb in excellent shape coming soon; it's now in the shop being cleaned and minor dent removal (there were no major dents.)

I have a nearly new one that is perfect. I am retiring from a large ensemble and want to find a large quintet style horn in BBb.
