Wtb: 5 valve C tuba. Silver preferably
I’m going into my freshman year of college but LSU, as big of a school as it is, doesn’t have one I can use. My budget is around 6k ish. Silver is preferred and I’m also willing to drive a long ways. Let me know!

There's a Miraphone 188 for sale on this site. You might call that 5/4, or maybe just stout 4/4, but it's not silver and you might not want to drive to Los Angeles.
I have a nice C tuba I should sell, but it's definitely smaller than 5/4 and only has 4 valves.
That's pretty disappointing that the school can't arrange for something. Good luck in your search.

I have a C tuba you might want. It's a schiller elite CC tuba with 5 valves (4 piston and 1 rotor) silver with gold valve caps. I would sell it to you for about 3k. If you feel interested you can contact me at angel.olivoporcayo27@gmail.com

Most all C tubas (made in the past few decades) feature five valves.
What I'm seeing is a WTB ad that says "most any C tuba for which I can scrap up 'this much money', but I like silver-colored ones".
Are you sure that you're ready to buy a tuba?
(Just having funds available to spend isn't necessarily he definition for ACTUALLY being ready to buy something.
YEAH...I hear my Dad talking to ME - a half century ago, but nevertheless...)

This thread is over 3 years old and I think OP ended up with a Besson 995 CC.
