Two horns that are better than their player:

If I can get the PT-1, the Piglet, and the Trashcan together, I could do a Battle Fleet pic, but it's definitely the Kriegsmarine!

I am a blessed man! Got to be more thankful.

I'm still getting used to it, I was working on the Six Studies in English Folk Song to work on phrasing on the 186, so I had to remember to get my left arm off of the top bow for the movement that starts in pedal D. :wall:

I haven't been spending enough time on the 186. The F tuba is just more fun to play, but I need more practice on the big horn.

With the keel on that 186, it shouldn’t have any trouble sailing straight down the channel!

So ok what is the keel FOR? It "appears" to have the function of making sure you do not hold it "too" close to your body. Even I ran into a slight eek with the keel on my 183.

I guess post-war German men were shorter than me at 6' 240lbs.?

I sit tubas on the top of my thighs when I play, so the horn never touches the seat.

I'm weird though, I prefer playing cello without the endpin, in a Baroque style.

Yeah, we know how the Army takes care of their tuba players.
