Before I invest in a sheet of neoprene and a bunch of time and go into the adventure of making my own, does anyone know of an equivalent to the Softone bucket/practice mutes for tuba? I currently use the large bass trombone one on my euphonium, and it could stand to be a tiny bit deeper for proper pitch.
I sent a request for a custom job on the Softone site but the website is 14 years old and I doubt it went through. If I don't hear anything, I'm going to try to fabricate one for myself. I'm sure there is a decent demand out there for a compact practice mute like this and I'm surprised nobody has filled the niche.
