Does anyone have a source for "Elephant Waltz" tuba solo? We have a 9 piece German band in Massachusetts and cannot locate a band arrangement or composer of this tune. YouTube has several posts of many Old Time Midwest bands such as Elmer Scheid performing it in old videos.
Does anyone have any leads for us?
Thanks, Tom O

Elephant Waltz" by Malcolm Arnold: Part of the Trapeze Suite
This is the only mention I can find by that name; it says nothing about being a tuba solo or not.

Here it is on YouTube, but I can't find a score yet:scottw wrote: Mon Sep 07, 2026 5:00 pm Elephant Waltz" by Malcolm Arnold: Part of the Trapeze Suite

Doesn't sound like it would be too hard to transcribe. Key of Eb.

Thinking more about this, they were probably just playing off of handwritten lead sheets or similar.
@togara, I'm pretty local to you just down the road in CT. If you want me to take a stab at a simple arrangement of this, I'm happy to do that when I have some free time.

Thanks so much! I would appreciate that! On my bucket list is to learn how to arrange for bands. Until that day comes (if ever) I will, purchase, copy, borrow arrangements for our German Band.
Very many thanks! TomO
