Need Miraphone parts (shaft end nut and water key)

Post by Trevor B »

Hi All,

Where to find 1970's Miraphone parts? I need the top lever shaft end nut for a 186 BBb and parts for the water key for our 183 EEb.

I'm trying to get my college's tubas back into shape after long hibernation. And my timing sucks as The Horn Guys are going online only and no more parts!

Any leads? Pic of the end nut attached.

Thanks in advance!

Horn guys closed their physical location back in August. I'm not sure if the deal went through with another vendor on here to buy horns and display furniture.
You should just replace the water key with one from allied. Good luck on finding the nut.

Lee Stofer Music has those Miraphone parts in stock - the complete water key assembly, and the nut for the valve lever hinge rod, plus a small lock washer that will prevent the nut from getting lost.

My website doesn't have shopping carts or online ordering, but I am happy to take phone orders.
