Our brand new quintet has just gotten a query for a gig in October at a new German restaurant.
So -- we are all out looking for this kind of music that would be apropos with a decent brass quintet in a restaurant. I don't know if they realize how loud it would be -- but the request was made.
Anybody have sources? Just regular oom pah OctoberFest stuff I think would very likely be appropriate. We wouldn't need or want anything that required significant put-together.
Oh but the Hagen will be perfect for this --- !!!!

This is one genre my group doesn't have much or any of. You might look through Musescore for stuff you can adapt (fix).
Also, aren't there some small German band books for flexible instrumentation?

There’s a lot of good Oktoberfest music in this collection:

I have also found Oktoberfest quintet music on eBay.

Horn player (who has a LOT of music) has told me she already has music that would work, but I haven't seen it yet and will keep these suggestions in mind.

There are some little march size books that have polkas and waltzes and such in them and I'm sure you can figure out which books would cover the five most important parts.
Mostly when I've played polka gigs with my friends, we're either working off of lead sheets or (more often) working off of nothing, but I've worked with a couple of other (mostly) jazz musicians who have these little books.
The people that play the polka gigs will know the names of these books and where to buy them.
