@Nathan.Sobieralski any update on the timeline for the tuba version?

@Nathan.Sobieralski any update on the timeline for the tuba version?

Ive looked into it. Part of the trouble is the cost. They would be very expensive to make using my current methods, therefore the retail price would be very high. Im investigating alternatives.

In the mean time, tuba players who double on Bass Trombone would find the Bass Salt Shaker useful.

There is also my removable cork adapter set for tuba mutes, for those interested in the adjustable cork aspect of my designs:

Very excited to have the endorsement of Dr. Cole Bartels, Trombone Professor at Central Michigan University! Here is what Dr. Bartels has to say about the Salt Shaker mute:

"The Salt Shaker is an amazingly versatile piece of equipment everyone should have in their arsenal of mutes. The engineering is fantastic, allowing for modularity of different end caps, corks, and configurations of felt pads that allow the player tons of control over the color palette produced by the mute."

Donn Schaefer sent this nice real-world example of how the Salt Shaker mute can save the day!

The latest tour I'm playing has a perfect Salt Shaker moment. 3 beats to go open from a bucket passage, and then almost no time later to put in a bucket between movements before an exposed solo. This is one of those spots where the musical director spends time at rehearsal warning about how important it is to be ready for the solo and talking about how many of the players have had difficulty making the entrance. (You can see all the arrows and markings in the music. The only thing missing is a skull and crossbones!) The Salt Shaker mute makes it easy to pop in the mute and make the entrance with seconds to spare. No worries about squirrely response or weird intonation quirks either!
