No longer for sale of trade. It plays too well and sounds too good to let it go.

After careful consideration I am putting my Rudi Meinl 4/4 CC w/ Cronkhite gig bag up for sale or trade. It is a great instrument with a lovely dark tone. I've enjoyed playing and owning it for sure, but it's time to let it go.

According to @Lee Stofer this tuba is about 40 years old.

It's in great shape for its age but it has been well loved. There are no dents to speak of but, it has certainly had some work over its 40 years. There is a small patch that was added to the bell. The valves are very quick and light.

The horn was ultrasonically cleaned and serviced a few months ago. It also had the main slide worked on by @bloke so it's super smooth.

PRIMARILY LOOKING FOR TRADES

Travel: I am willing to drive 2-4 hours from Birmingham to meet

Trade Interests: 4/4+ CC or F tubas. Primarily interested in piston horns

Thank you very much for the kind words. I will periodically hit record on my phone to audit my practicing. This happened to be one where I was playing the Rudi.

After Christmas bump! I will be starting a new job soon. So I won't be available to travel much after late January 2026.

The only information I reached out to @Lee Stofer for was an approximate age. I have no idea if he's seen this instrument in person. I do know he knew the previous owner. I have no idea his opinion on this particular instrument.

New job is going well. In the time I have to practice, i've been playing this horn more and more. I might just keep it. It's a nice player.

Well, y'all had your chance while I considered letting it go. It plays too nice. So, I'm pulling it off the selling/trading block. Now that I've got the ergonomics sorted, I'm really enjoying it.
