My asking price for this horn is $2,500 but I am OPEN to ANYTHING. I’m only selling this horn because I have stopped playing trombone all together to pursue tuba performance. I am based out of Stillwater, Oklahoma, and am back home in Austin, Texas. Willing to meet buyer depending on the distance, just DM me and I’ll see what I can make happen. Shipping can be arranged at the expense of the buyer.
For Sale: Yamaha Xeno Large Bore Tenor Trombone with F Attachment (and hard case)
I am the 3rd owner of this 6 year old horn and it plays phenomenally! This horn has been used in marching bands from Grand Nationals to the Tuba-Trombone solo from Leander High School. I used this horn for the 2024 Jazz Band of America, Leander high school Wind Ensemble, Jazz Region Bands, Soloist with Tuba Euphonium Ensembles, Youth Trombone quartets performing at UT Austin, Lead Jazz Band trombone playing, Bass Trombone playing, Boss Street Brass Band, and many more! This horn is a great horn for whatever style of music you want to play!
Since it has been used in marching bands, this horn does not entirely appear to be brand new. There are very small scratches to the horn as you can see in the images. While it may not appear to be fully perfect, it is entirely cosmetic. As well, while there is a dent in the slide, its position in the slide and the size of the dent do not cause any noticeable change in the way the instrument feels or sounds. Every single one of the playing opportunities I had with this horn listed previously all happened after that dent was created and it never hindered my performance or development in any way whatsoever!

I don't have permission to see the pictures, in case you'd like to adjust that. Just as well, for me, since I'm satisfied with my trombone situation, but someone else might be really eager to see.Jack Craven wrote: Fri Jul 25, 2025 4:31 am Pictures of the horn:

If you like the trombone and don't need immediate cash... you may want to consider holding onto it.. It seems that many of the recent tuba performance graduates I run into... end up playing trombone gigs at least s few times a year.

Re: Yamaha Xeno Tenor Trombone with F Attachment
I regret letting my trombone chops go. I had pretty regular bass trombone opportunities in college that made me some decent cash. Once out of college, I stopped playing bass bone. I wish I had never stopped.gocsick wrote: Wed Jul 30, 2025 8:12 am If you like the trombone and don't need immediate cash... you may want to consider holding onto it..
