Has anyone ever tried a NUX B-6 Wireless System on sousaphone? I'm considering picking one up for my Conn 38k and Oktoberfest gigs this year. I typically have an AT2020 on a mic stand in front of me, but it'd be nice to have a wireless set-up.
Things that look appealing to me:
- simple, plug-and-play
- charging case
- reasonably cheap compared to other wireless systems
Concerns I have:
- tenor sax EQ curve may not sound good for sousaphone
- short goose-neck for mic may not extend high enough across the bell to pick up a good sound
