Hard to imagine what the advantage of this design is, besides being 'different'. In fact, it seems to have more angles than regular rotary sets, as there's no 'straight shot' through the valve set, like when valves aren't engaged.

Talking about the one above middle C? How often do you play that note? And is your comment based on Mark's video? The BIAS graph I posted is an objective measure of tuning. Hard to argue with it.
