Are you applying the penetrating oil on the inside of the slide tube? Do you have PB Blaster in the EU? Take the rotor out and apply liberally inside the tube. The first ones available were the 864 and 866. These were based on the B&S Symphonie F with a graduated bore and smaller starting bore than tubas like the PT-10 or PT-15. 864 is 5v, 866 is 6v.

Then the piston F tubas came. The 861 has a smaller bore (.708") and a different wrap, being smaller ...

I also paid $11 for shipping on a box of doo-dads recently. It was a box of 4-40 threaded rod and some nylon screws to whittle into valve guides.

I plugged two boxes of those peel rivets into their site with my address in CT just to see and it had shipping as $13. Interesting...
