Euro vs. American shank

I've never been much of a "mouthpiece guy" and haven't spent a ton of time thinking about them. Just got what a teacher recommended and stuck with it. These days, I've been thinking more about their characteristics and their effects. Right now I am concerned with euro vs american shank. Is this the ...

Re: Who was your teacher?

I like that you mention Joe Girlando. He was a pretty cool guy who I got to work with a little bit during college.

I am glad I stumbled on this thread, Mark, because I want to let you know that I got your private message. But I can't reply to it because I am too new here. Plus I don't have your ...

Valve Casing Brush

I am spending way too much time trying to figure out which valve casing brush I should get for my tuba. If anyone could recommend one that is big enough I would appreciate it.

For Sale: Yamaha 67B4 Mouthpiece

As the subject says, for sale is the Yamaha 67B4 mouthpiece. I bought it new about 3 months ago and I have probably spent 20 minutes with it. So, it is in excellent condition. I can't reply to PM's yet, so email me at santwarg@mac.com if interested.

$70 shipped to USA.

Re: FS: Tuba Mouthpieces

OK - I got your PM. But I cannot reply to it because I'm new around here. Please let me know how to proceed with getting the RT-50L from you. You can email me at santwarg@mac.com

Also, it's a long shot, but let me know if you happen to be anywhere between Baltimore, Md and Harrisburg, Pa. If so ...

That's the Eastman 832. Just got it a week ago. Finally getting back into C tuba after 15 years of only F. It's been a challenge.

Re: Looking for the tuba part to...

Thanks buddy. Because I have a feeling people are not going to have this, I started the tedious process of screenshotting the tuba part on the score found on youtube. Line by line. I got the 1st mov't done. But I still wouldn't mind a clean copy if someone has it.

Looking for the tuba part to...

I would like a copy of the tuba part to Malcolm Arnold's "Four Cornish Dances." Orchestra version. The orchestra I am playing with has this programed for the fall, but it's a bear of a part and I would like to practice it now. It's a rental, and they WILL rent it. So I feel like I am not doing ...
