Yep! It was a Meinl 2000. I used to own a 2155, it was a great horn!

Now the big question....how does the Eastman 834 compare to the Merlin? Weight and playing characteristics, price etc.?

And in this one... the Eastman hands down.

But opinions are like... and mine probably stinks.

Bloke, I think they are changing that. The new Willson Merlin specs say it comes in at 9kg.... same as a 186.

To my ear I go back and forth between the Merlin and the 2000 as to which sound I prefer in this video.

I've got a Doug Elliott 130N rim, T cup with T6E shank in excellent condition. Looking to trade for the mpcs listed in the title. Probably a long shot to find any of these... but you don't know if you don't ask.

Weight limit showing 22lbs. Does anyone out there use one (particularly in the standing position) for a horn that weighs more than 22lbs? Specifically my Wyvern is listed at 25lbs.

Chinese rotary horns concern me. I play on a Wessex Wyvern and I really like it. Intonation is spot on and you can get a huge sound out of it with the right mouthpiece. I like the idea of a rotary horn (I prefer rotary valves)... but not sure about this one. As of right now, those are not dice I'm ...

Does anybody out there have either of these in good condition maybe looking for a POSSIBLE trade? I have a Wessex Wyvern with hard case and gig bag. Currently just looking to see if any of these are lurking around.

The ONLY reason I'm looking, is I prefer rotary valves.
