yeah I was considering just filling the holes and I may still do that. The tenon size regarding diameter haven't ever changed on their "full sized" horns(38k,40k, and 20k) I believe, at least not much. The male end doesn't actually go in far enough which Is another issue and why I believe the fit ...

I know that it was originally a school horn used both in marching band and concert band. Never seen a strap ring worn like the one on this horn lol.

If anyone has a Conn sousaphone with a 24” bell stamped 4 on the tennon let me know. You have my bell, and I probably have yours (if you have a 38k stamped 46?). You never know!
