Correct, to qualify further.
The oo is short as in book
The th is voiced as in that
The rh is a voiceless trill. Many have trouble with this and just pronounce a rhotic R.

Looks like Brasswind went under.


They just got assimilated by the Guitar Center Borg. Guitar Center/Music & Arts/Musician's Friend/WWBW were all owned by the same company. WWBW was deemed redundant and was shut down and they redirected customer's to Music & Arts.

Of course, Conn had to have an Artist line of products. I'm always amused every time I hear a reference to a Conn Artist instrument.

Try acetone or fingernail polish remover or WD-40 or PVC pipe cleaner. They are stronger solvents.

When Hetman became impossible to find, I switched to Meinlschmidt which they formulated to be just like Hetman.

Took delivery of this one last Saturday. I'm a Horn player who doubles on Baritone/Euphonium. This is my first real Tuba.

There were both 3-valve and 4-valve Enharmonic instruments. I would say the double nomenclature is a carry-over from the 4-valve system (as is the description on the museum webpage). I would not consider the 3-valve system to be ...

Um - No. That would be a 4-valve Enharmonic. With a 3-valve, it does not get pitched down to F. Someone at the museum needs to brush up on their taxonomy.

Indeed the German ue (ü) sound does not exist in English so it ends up getting modified in various ways into an English phoneme. My surname has this letter and is pronounced as an English long e (ee) sound in America.

In my experience, those numbers on Mirafone's were serial numbers not model numbers.
